French Garlic

French Garlic is generally harvested during the months of June or July.

It can then be sold as fresh garlic, however it would normally be allowed to "dry" for a couple of weeks, sometimes in outbuildings or normally if the weather permits, laid in the fields.

The process does not affect the actual garlic clove, which remains juicy, the outer husk being the only affected part.

The Garlic is available in 4 varieties, Smoked and White Garlic from North Eastern France and also Pink and Violet from South Western France.

Each variety has a strong delicious garlic flavour and will remain edible for months following the summer harvests.
